Welcome to Moving4wellness!

Thank you so much for visiting. I am so glad you are here. My name is Stefanie and my passion is human movement. The body is designed to move and it is fearfully and wonderfully made. If we can move it we can build it. I have more than a decade of experience as a certified personal trainer, certified medical exercise specialist and health coach for cancer wellness, diabetes prevention, and weight loss. Through the years I specialized in the cases that don't have a simple answer. My individual clients have taught me how to use movement therapy to improve their well being.

I work together with the health care community to create programs that will integrate into the medical treatment not work against it.

Many of my clients don't have medical conditions but it has been difficult to lose weight or perform they way they used to. I work with triathletes, swimmers, runners, dancers, golfers, and tennis players who all want to continue to follow the activity they love. I am here to help rebuild and restore the kinetic chain to allow the mechanics of movement to become smooth and healthy again the best possible way.

Moving so you can feel better

If anyone where to ask me what I do, I could never actually explain it in a few words. I am passionate about the human body, the way it moves, and its ability to create balance in imbalance. The human body is fearfully and wonderfully made! My goal for anyone is to be able to move as efficient and pain free as possible. Physical injury or chronic illness effects our well being and our willingness to move. My approach to healthy living is grounded in my belief that the body is created to move and when we cannot do so, our health declines, we age faster, and the health conditions we suffer from are even harder to manage.

I am a firm believer that movement in any way that is performed, keeping all limitation in mind, can help the body heal or help improve our well being.

You will see posts about physical limitations that don't seem to render movement as a possibility and yet we make huge strides with little in many cases. I would love for you to join me in the journey with wonderful people who are not ready to age prematurely, lose mobility or independence.

YOGA and More

Recovery work and restoration is the most important part of your every day routine. Even if you don't exercise on a regular basis, you still have to give your body time to recover from the activity you performed at your job, especially if you are sitting most of the day.

Yoga, Tai Chi, and related practices, can help the body restore balance. As we age, restoring that balance becomes more challenging, making its practice more important.

In the Yoga section of my page, you will find videos and stories that will help you keep Yoga as a part of your every day or every other day practice.
